Cloud computing is a major IT industry facing significant changes.

With concerns around cloud infrastructure security and resilience, desire for greater digital sovereignty, as well as the growth of data spaces and multi-cloud environments. To support the evolution of cloud computing technologies, standard organizations, such as BSI, are positioning standards as a vital tool. The Cloud Computing Standards Forum aims to explain more.

Why the Cloud Computing Standards Forum matters.

The Cloud Computing Standards Forum is a free, in-person BSI event (kindly hosted by Microsoft). It will provide expert sessions that: 

  • Introduce BSI and their involvement in cloud computing standards at European and International levels.
  • Explain how the EU Data Act will impact cloud computing services in the UK.
  • Spotlight cloud service provider switching, digital sovereignty, multi-cloud environments, data centres as key topics impacting cloud computing technologies and examine how standards can help.
  • Raise awareness around the cloud computing standards currently available or under development that can help organizations navigate and harness this essential IT service.

We are delighted to share that the event will include a keynote address from Sebastian Steinbuss, Chair of CEN/CLC JTC 25 and CTO at International Data Spaces.
