Leading the Road Haulage Association’s Net Zero strategy, Chris works with governments, industry, and operators to drive the transition from diesel to zero-emission vehicles, ensuring fair, pragmatic solutions while supporting businesses to meet the UK’s ambitious decarbonisation goals.

 Faizan Ahmad
Faizan is the Decarbonisation Programme Director at First Bus where he has overseen a significant expansion from 200 ZEVs across four sites in 2023 to over 1200 ZEVS across more than 15 sites in 2025, with further projects already in the works. He is responsible for programme, mobilisation and product across the First Bus estate, including First’s innovative proposition for collaborating with businesses and organisations to use their depot charging infrastructure while buses are out in service.

Head of EV Fleet at Zenobē, with over 20 years’ experience providing asset finance and contract hire solutions to clients in the corporate and public sectors. He has previously worked at Lombard, Barclays, Rothschild & Co, and Ryder and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.
