Emmanuel Ewah has a multifaceted background in industrial and mechanical engineering, having worked on AI-enabled predictive maintenance systems. As an Innovation Lead for the BridgeAI programme, Emmanuel plays a key role in advancing the adoption of artificial intelligence across the UK. He is dedicated to helping industries harness cutting-edge AI technologies to drive efficiency and foster innovation. With a focus on bridging the gap between AI advancements and their real-world applications.

Nicholas Nisbet has been involved in the development of BIM since 1977. Since 2001 he has been an independent consultant, contributing to many of the significant British Standards including several editions of BS1192, ISO standards including ISO12911 and ISO19650 and building SMART standards including IFC and IDS. He is currently developing a PhD on automating regulatory compliance without programming at UCL, London.

Jo has an international background having worked for SAB Miller in India, IKEA in Sweden, and the mining sector in Australia and New Zealand. Her first Head of Sustainability role was with the Bunzl Group, where she created and led their Sustainable Futures Programme. She worked closely with government and key customers in the hospitality and retail sectors to address ocean pollution from single use plastics.

Scott Steedman

Scott joined BSI in January 2012 and was appointed to the Board in October 2012. An engineer by profession, he started his career as a Fellow and Lecturer at the University of Cambridge before moving to industry where he spent over 20 years as a consultant working in the Built Environment sector. 
Anthony Burd
Associate Director and Head of Built Environment, BSI
A Chartered building surveyor and engineer by background, he has more than 32 years’ experience working in the sector, having worked as both an enforcer, and for 16 years was the UK fire regulator and then head of technical policy for the English Building Regulations.

As Managing Director for the Global Built Environment at BSI, Andy is responsible for coordinating the global vision and strategy to enable a safer, sustainable, resilient built environment.
