BS 4877 Nuclear reactor instrumentation and control – Code of practice gives recommendations on I&C systems and measurements
A revised version of the standard is due to be published in 2025. It will include improved safety definitions, an updated software section, and new content on cybersecurity, and electrical systems.
Our 11 December webinar will introduce the changes, giving you valuable insights into the latest thinking around I&C systems in nuclear reactors. It will also equip you with the knowledge to implement best practices and updated technologies, and help prepare you to address emerging challenges such as cybersecurity.
An understanding of the standard and the changes to it could be critical components in ensuring the safe operation of nuclear power plants throughout the UK.
The webinar will cover:
- nuclear standardization and BSI, energy trends, and the new direction of the Labour government on nuclear;
- the upcoming revisions to BS 4877 Nuclear reactor instrumentation and control – Code of practice;
- changes in cybersecurity and the standard's new clause on cybersecurity;
- Q & A based on participants' questions submitted in advance.
