What is this webinar about?
Decarbonizing the transport sector is critical to reaching net-zero goals and responding to both the impacts of climate change and improving air quality and health outcomes.
But how can the transport sector do it in ways that are truly sustainable, equitable and economically viable? What technologies and behaviours will get us there safely? And what role will standardization play in enabling and accelerating the transition?
On 25 September, as part of BSI's Net Zero Week 2024, we're running a free webinar to discuss the issues. It will include:
- the various technology pathways in the move to make our vehicles and transport modes zero-emission;
- how industry is using standards to support the transition to new fuels, infrastructure, etc;
- cross-transport challenges and opportunities for cooperating in meeting net-zero targets;
- research on the sustainability of pathways across road, aviation and maritime;
- examples of standards supporting net-zero transition at a product, system and organizational level;
- how standards can enable improved carbon management, emissions reporting and beyond;
