Standardizing a methodology to improve quality and outcomes
There's a pressing need to improve the energy efficiency of UK homes to reduce fuel poverty and CO2 emissions, as well as to improve health and well-being.
To help with that task, the new BS 40104, Retrofit assessment for domestic dwellings – Code of practice will be launched for public consultation in May 2024. This document will expand on the principles for retrofit assessment and standardize a thorough retrofit assessment methodology.
In this consultation stage we want to encourage the widest possible input into the standard to make it as robust and effective as possible. To that end, we're running a webinar to publicize the standard and invite comments on the draft.
