Steve Denton

CEN/TC250 Structural Eurocodes Chair; Managing Director, Civil, WSP

Steve Denton is a civil and structural engineering specialist with wide experience in standards at both national and international level. He is Managing Director of WSP’s UK Civil Unit and has played a leading role in the development of structural and geotechnical design standards, serving as Chair of CEN/TC 250, the European committee responsible for the Eurocodes. In addition, he is currently Deputy Chair of BSI Committee B/525 and sits on the BSI’s Standards Policy and Strategy Committee. 

Tony Jones
B/525/2 Structural use of concrete expert/Technical Director - The Concrete Centre 

Tony is a Structural Engineer with over 35 years of experience in design, research and investigation of concrete structures. He provides guidance on all aspect of structural concrete design including performance in fire. Tony has been involved with the production of numerous industry guides and has been involved with the development of concrete structural codes for over 25 years. He is currently the UK Head of Delegation on the European committee responsible for Eurocode 2, Design of Concrete Structures and part of the panel that drafted the UK National Annexes to the second generation Eurocode 2.  

Mungo Stacy
B/525/1 Actions (loadings) and basis of design Chair/Head of Profession, WSP

Mungo Stacy is Head of Profession for WSP’s Civil discipline. His involvement in second generation Eurocodes includes, at European level, Chair of TC 250/SC 1 Actions and member of Management Group for TC 250/SC 10 Basis of Design. He chairs the BSI committee responsible for actions and basis of design. Mungo is a technical lead for major projects including HS2 via ducts and the Fehmarnbelt immersed tube tunnel, and undertakes advisory projects including the revision of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges. 

Kara Ebanks

Senior Standards Manager, Built Environment 

Kara has worked in academic and professional publishing for nearly 20 years, focussing on construction, health and safety publications.  She joined BSI in 2014, responsible for the oversight of standards for the built environment sector, specifically Eurocodes, digital construction and construction products.   

Deidre Fourie

Lead Standards Development Manager

Deidre Fourie is a Lead Standards Development Manager within BSI’s Built Environment team, with responsibility for overseeing Eurocode committees and managing the UK’s Eurocodes work programme, supports experts and stakeholders contributing to the development and maintenance of Eurocodes on behalf of the UK.
